The setting of this ruined Byzantine city is spectacular, and offers some good flowers and a magnificent view as well.
The path down from the top entrance in April is a good place to see the spring display.
In autumn the yellow Sterngergia lutea grows outside the site, with Mediterranean spurge,white irises, Judas trees and a long list of other plants are found here.
