The small church, which Athenians nicknamed Sotirakis (i.e. Little Savior), on account of its diminutive size, stands today in its original form. In front of the monument is the tomb of Odysseas Andoutsos, a hero of the War of Independence. His body was flung down from the sacred rock and fell close to the church where it was subsequently buried.
