Amusement Parks

There are several Amusement Parks, known as Luna parks, which, while not 6 Flags, do offer some fun for people of all ages: Tame roller coasters, Ferris Wheels, Calliopes, shooting galleries, pony rides, carriage rides, fun house and so on. Glyfada has a decent Luna park and others are on the road to the suburb of Kifisia from Athens. Any taxi driver would know. Course they may have been moved for Olympic purposes.

The Luna Park in Glyfada is a safe bet for your youngster and maybe a 5 dollar cab ride from Athens center. Admission is free and any cabby will know how to get here. These parks are usually in out of the way areas so attract Gypsys so stay away from the beach to the left of the parking lot where its dark at night and a lot of them hang out and camp. The Park itself is perfectly safe.
